This course offers an opportunity to learn the versatile and popular medium of colored pencil. The first portion of the class addresses the fundamentals of drawing along with the application of colored pencil. After students have mastered the basics, the instructor will present more challenging projects. Papers, solvents and watercolor pencils will be introduced. There will be an emphasis on experimentation with various techniques and textures. Students work from observation but will be encouraged to see and use color in imaginative ways.
