This class is designed to introduce students to the metals department,
its current faculty members along with a variety of jewelry making
techniques. A sampling of processes including lost wax casting,
precious metal clay, embellished bezel setting, wirewrapping, and
chainmaille will be presented in one to two week segments, each
taught by a different metals instructor. Projects as well as instruction
is aimed at the beginning level student, but may also appeal to more
advanced students looking to broaden their skills. Most materials will
